BIOGRAPHY

Angkee Sripakagorn is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering department, Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University. He received his bachelor degree in engineering at Chulalongkorn University, MSc from Oregon State University, and PhD from University of Washington, the United States of America. His main research areas of interest are alternative energy, energy conversion devices and automotive engineering. For EV, he believes that the coming era of electro-mobility could deliver benefit to not only Thai Automotive Industry but to the quality of life of Thai people, should we engage into the EV era wisely. He has consulting experience in e-Bus, e-Tuktuk, fuel-cell TukTuk and e-motorcycle for both private companies and government agencies. He is the author of the only Thai language technical book dedicated to EV design and development – “ยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า พื้นฐานการทำงานและการออกแบบ” now in second edition.

Besides the academic research, Dr. Angkee cofounded the Engineering Education Initiative, EEi with Associated Professor Kuntinee Maneeratana at the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University since 2009. EEi has done a large number of research studies and faculty trainings in engineering education. The collective effort of EEi members led to the formation of the Chula Engineering Education 4.0, the framework to restructure the teaching and learning experience in support of the new batch innovative engineers. The framework is now fully adopted by all departments at the faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
